Casino Beef Week

RAMHP attended the 40th Annual Beef Week Festival held in Casino from 21 to 31st May 2022.
Casino is known as the Beef Capital of Australia. This event was an amazing opportunity to celebrate the Australian beef industry, community and local farmers.
Northern NSW RAMHP Co-ordinators Sam and Amanda joined the Women on the Land (WOTL) at the Commonwealth Bank’s Rural Women’s High Tea on 26 May at Casino RSM Club.
Sam and Amanda had the great opportunity and privilege to connect with many rural women, share resources and to support the community through what a has been a very tough few years. This includes impacts of the recent devastating floods across Northern NSW.
Over 150 women gathered to network with likeminded women, experience fine dining and to hear the amazing keynote speaker Steph Trethewey share her inspiring journey of rural motherhood.
Steph founded Motherland Australia in 2019. Motherland is a supportive online community that aims to eliminate the isolation many rural Mothers face. Steph build this virtual village after moving to a farm in Tasmania where she struggled as a new mum. She felt isolated and craved connection with other rural mothers, and to hear their stories of life and motherhood on the land.
To date Stephanie has interviewed more than 100 women from across the country and has fast become a fierce advocate for rural Mothers and their parenting journey.
An incredible day was had by all and thankyou to the Beef Week Committee for organising a truly special and memorable event.
