RAMHP across NSW
The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) works across each of the rural NSW Local Health Districts (LHD).
RAMHP coordinators are strategically placed throughout the state in order to reach communities within their LHD. In each LHD, RAMHP works to provide relevant information and education to community members and service providers, in order to link rural people to the help they need.
While it is important to recognise that our RAMHP coordinators do not provide a clinical service, they may be the first point of contact many people have with the public mental health service.
Our coordinators assist mental health teams in their districts by ensuring people with mental health concerns are appropriately connected to local services.
RAMHP coordinators help to build a community environment which is conducive to good mental health and recovery.
